Why is Calcium so important?

Calcium is needed for good teeth and strong bones and for the proper function of nerves, muscles, kidneys, and the heart. Not having enough calcium in the diet is one of many factors associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis, a disease that speeds up the process of the natural loss of calcium in the bones. This causes the bones to become weak and fragile, leading to loss of height, curved spines, and bone fractures, especially in women. In recent years, the recommended amount of calcium has been increased from 800 mg to 1000 to 1200 mg per day. Dairy products are the most common source of calcium for people in western industrialized countries. But, as you know, most of the dairy products most commonly eaten are very high in saturated fat and cholesterol, as well as calories! This is not a good trade-off - increasing your risk of heart disease and weight gain by eating dairy products high in saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories in order to decrease your risk or osteoporosis by getting the calcium they contain! So, how can you get enough calcium and still follow your weight loss plan?



Do You Get Enough Calcium?


The answer is no, you will not be getting enough calcium just from foods if you are following a reduced calorie plan to lose weight. If you are trying to lose weight, your diet plan contains less food than you need right now, which means it’s a lot harder to get all the calcium you need. In order to get enough calcium from just the foods you eat, you should eat 3-4 servings of high calcium foods every day. To get enough calcium from medium sources, you need to eat more servings, about 3 servings of medium calcium foods equal one high calcium serving. (In other words, to get the amount of calcium in 1 cup of skim milk, you need to eat 3 cups of broccoli!) Most of you have a plan that contains 2-3 servings of dairy products. This is why I recommend that you take a calcium supplement if you are following a reduced calorie plan. In fact, most adults, especially women, would benefit from taking a calcium supplement whether they are following a reduced calorie diet plan or not. This is because the average person doesn’t eat an optimal diet to begin with! In fact, when you follow your eating guidelines, they are designed to help you get the best combination of nutrients with the right amount of calories for weight loss. Even so, it would be very hard to get enough calcium just from eating food during weight loss.

A Matter of Age

The amount of bone you build during teen and young adult years is called peak bone mass. This is the strongest your bones will ever be, and that is why getting enough calcium while you are growing is so important. After your early 20’s, you do not build bone mass, so the goal is keep your bones healthy the remainder of your life by doing a few simple things:

Eat enough calcium from low fat sources, or supplement

Strengthen your bones through regular exercise

Avoid unhealthy, low calorie diet plans

If you are a post-menopausal woman, discuss 
estrogen replacement with your doctor

Avoid smoking, and if you do smoke, quit!

It is crucial for the absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorous, which have various functions, especially the maintenance of healthy bones.

It is an immune system regulator.

It may be an important way to arm the immune system against disorders like the common cold, say scientists from the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Children's Hospital Boston.

It may reduce the risk of developing multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is much less common the nearer you get to the tropics, where there is much more sunlight, according to Dennis Bourdette, chairman of the Department of Neurology and director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center at Oregon Health and Science University, USA.

Vitamin D may have a key role in helping the brain to keep working well in later life, according to a study of 3000 European men between the ages of 40 and 79.

Vitamin D is probably linked to maintaining a healthy body weight, according to research carried out at the Medical College of Georgia, USA.



It can reduce the severity and frequency of asthma symptoms, and also the likelihood of hospitalizations due to asthma, researchers from Harvard Medical School found after monitoring 616 children in Costa Rica.

It has been shown to reduce the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis in women.

A form of vitamin D could be one of our body's main protections against damage from low levels of radiation, say radiological experts from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Various studies have shown that people with adequate levels of vitamin D have a significantly lower risk of developing cancer, compared to people with lower levels. Vitamin D deficiency was found to be prevalent in cancer patients regardless of nutritional status, in a study carried out by Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

High vitamin D doses can help people recover from tuberculosis more rapidly, researchers reported in September 2012 in the Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

An additional study published in September 2012 suggested that low levels of vitamin D may increase the risk of heart attack and early death.



Vitamin D and nutrition

Over the last few hundred years human lifestyles have changed. The industrial revolution resulted in more indoor work and less exposure to sunlight. Many societies around the world wore more clothing over the centuries, further reducing skin exposure to sunlight. These changes have brought with them a significant reduction in the natural production of vitamin D and subsequent diseases. 

Countries responded to these changes by fortifying some foods with vitamins D2 and D3, examples include breakfast cereals, bread, pastries, oil spreads, margarine, milk and other dairy products. Initially, some scientists complained that nutritional fortification and recommended supplementation doses were not making up for the shortfall. These people were ignored, and sometimes ridiculed - however, over the last few years studies indicate that they may have been right after all. 

Not that many foods contain vitamin D. Some fish, such as salmon, tuna and mackerel, as well as fish liver oils are considered to be the best sources. Some vitamin D is also present in beef liver, cheese and egg yolks. Most of these are Vitamin D3. Some mushrooms provide variable amounts of vitamin D2.

Most of the food sourced vitamin D in the western diet comes from fortified foods - where vitamin D is artificially added. Most US milk is fortified with 100 IU/cup of vitamin D. In the 1930s milk was fortified in many countries to combat rickets, which was a major health problem then.

Are you Qualified Person for this?

It is hard to believe that this business maybe not for you. Multilevel Marketing or Network Marketing is not for everybody's business. It is sad but true but it is available for everybody to try and venture with. Do not be surprise in what I have said because in reality this is what is happening. 

Not all people think the same. 

All of us have a dream, maybe your friend's dream might not be as big as yours but in relative with the dreamer it is big enough for him or her. Even identical twins have different way of thinking even though it is similar it is still different. In other people NETWORK MARKETING is like a SCAM to them. They think this kind of business is "cheap" or low moral kind of business.



This Business is for both DREAMER and ACHIEVER

Having dreams are common to all of us, in fact all age brackets have their goals in life but doing something to achieve their dream is different thing. If you are a dreamer but believes that it is a dream and cannot be achieve then this is not for you.

If you know who you are and know your reasons WHY 

You should know your reasons why you want to achieve your dreams. You should know who you are, your reality and position in life. You should know how much wealth you want to achieve. Because if you are in denial and you do not know what is your reference point in your financial situation, you will not know how to go to your destination and you will be lost along the way.

If you think negatively most of the time do not get involve in this kind of business. In all aspects in life, thinking negatively will lead you to failure. Being in a business and building your networks will take time and effort, this is same with other traditional business. You need to work hard and smart for you to be able to succeed while being optimistic will keep you going in what you are doing.

Believe in your company and the product you are involved with

Know your company and the product involved in your business. If you do not believe in both, you cannot survive the test of time in your journey with the business

Do you always like to be in your comfort zone?

If you want something to change in your life, you must do differently out of your comfort zone for you in order to achieve something different. It is considered CRAZY if you always do the same thing but expecting different result. If most of the people you know is not financially independent and you do not like to do something different then do not be in this business.

Do you like easy money?

You should know that the LAW of the UNIVERSE is always in effect. If you want great amount of wealth, you should work for it because there is no easy money in all kind of business except if it is a scam. 

REJECTIONS

If you lived your life without experiencing rejections and you do not like to feel anything like that. Do not get involved in this business. Everybody thinks differently, even your close friends and relatives will reject you if they cannot see the opportunity you are showing them. This kind of business is sorting business, only the people with right mind and attitude can do this business.


If you think that you are qualified person to be in this kind of business then do not be afraid to try network marketing. And if you think these is out of your league then find your way to achieve financial independence some where else. It is really hard to accept these facts but it is true. If you still want to achieve your dreams in this business, then you should have a different mindset for you to qualify.
